The St. Patrick's Day run in North Myrtle Beach on March 15, 2008 claimed a couple of firsts: it was the first running event to take place on the west side of the Inland Waterway at Barefoot Resort and was the first St. Patrick's Day event produced by the Coastal Running Group.

Coastal Running Group (CRG) was formed in 2007 for the purpose of producing running, biking, triathlons, and similar events throughout the Grand Strand and neighboring areas. CRG is made up of three partners: Race Management Systems, Festival Promotions and the Grand Strand Running Club.

N Myrtle Beach Winter Run, 1/19/08
Results

The N Myrtle Beach Winter Run lived up to its name with wind, rain and 35 degree temperatures. In spit of the conditions, almost 250 of the 300+ registered participants crossed the finish lines. There were an equal number of finishers, 122, in both the 15K and 5K runs.
